The Weekend Project

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 07 27, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Finally, I think I'm done with the summer "projects" that Mrs. Phantom comes up with each year. This last one took a bit more than the weekend but it's done and hopefully, my weekends can now be spent shooting more, practicing calling more, and planning my SEPT hunt.. I can only hope ;) I replaced the 10 year old arbor, trellis, pergola, whatever you call it that began to rot out with the WA weather. I think the new one came out pretty decent and I made sure I used treated 4X4s for the posts.. Now, just gotta stain the thing

Very nice. I may have to borrow that design. That would make a good entrance to my big vegetable garden. Nice work!

Thanks guys. I pre-assembled the sides on a flat spot (garage floor) but they were some heavy buggers to move, stand up, and slide down into the holes by myself. Those 10' treated 4X4s are very heavy. After that, the rest went together pretty quickly.
