core lokt varieties

so can anybody break down to me the essential difference in performance between the corelokt psp and the core lokt psp ultra bonded? this is the first year ive used core lokt ammo, after always hearing it was kind of crap. but it shoots very very well out of my old rifle, however, contrary to how it advertises itself, the regular psp im shooting seems to go off like a hornady sst round. is the ultra bonded supposed to have more weight retention? okay, aside from the "supposed to" part, does it?
